Introduction 专题介绍

For modern turbomachinery, high demand for performance has posed serious challenges to structural integrity due to unexpected blade vibrations. Accurate measurement of in-situ blade deformation could provide valuable data for researchers and engineers to study the underlying physics. However, measurement of high-speed rotating blades inside the casing is challenging and has become a research hot spot. In the recent decade, non-contact measurement technologies represented by blade tip timing (BTT), laser Doppler vibrometry (LDV), and digital image correlation (DIC) are developing rapidly. Meanwhile, models and algorithms for analyzing blade vibrations, as well as diagnostic methods for blade failure are emerging every day. However, challenges remain in terms of feasibility, reliability, and integrating these technologies into existing systems. Thus, there is a pressing need to bring together experts, researchers, and practitioners to share insights, breakthroughs, and best practices in this evolving field. We hope to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, bridging gaps between theoretical research and practical applications, and to pave the way for innovative solutions that enhance the safety of machinery relying on rotating blades.

The scope of the special session will focus on the following topics:

* Advancements in non-contact monitoring and diagnostic methods for blades

* Integration of machine learning and AI for data analysis and predictive maintenance.

* Case studies on the application of non-contact blade monitoring technologies in various industries, especially evaluating the impact of operational environments on measurements.

* Future directions and research opportunities in blade tip timing and other non-contact monitoring systems.
